I am a husband, father, veteran, business leader and volunteer who cares deeply about our great state, and our wonderful hometown! Middletown has been described as the jewel of New Castle County, and I promise to work hard to keep it that way. We need to achieve and maintain balanced growth, great education, safe communities and smart investments so we can ensure a bright future for all.
Something important you should know about me: I try to use common sense and keep things simple. I’ve found that making things complex just makes them harder to accomplish, needing more time and money. As I represent you and all of Middletown, I’ll keep front of mind:
Freedom – Are we protecting your rights as they’re defined in the US and Delaware Constitutions? Are we promoting limited government and reducing regulation, so you can have more freedom?
Future – Are we making a better future for our children and grandchildren? Will Middletown and Delaware be more economically competitive and attractive?
Finances – Should Middletown and Delaware taxpayers spend their money on this? Can we afford it? Will we get a good return on our investment?
My wife, Diana, and I have lived in Delaware for 24 years, and the last 7 right here in Middletown. We’ve raised our son and daughter here, and they are now in college and the military. I’m running because I want our children and many future generations to see Delaware as a great place to put down roots and raise their families too!
For Middletown and Delaware to thrive in the future, there are some major decisions ahead – these will involve serious discussions and tough decisions about finances, economic and community growth, education, safety and freedom.
To make these decisions, do you know who is representing you in Dover? Do their values align with yours? Do you understand how they make decisions, and does that align with what’s important to you? Do they even show up to take part in the debates and negotiations? Are they willing to make tough decisions even if they aren’t popular?
I want you to know me, so you can trust that I’ll represent your values when representing you in these tough discussions. Raised in New Jersey by the children of immigrants, I was taught at a young age strong family values, the importance of education, hard work, service to your neighbors, and responsible economics.
I am an Eagle Scout and a proud graduate of the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, after which I served five years as a nuclear submarine officer, leading extremely talented sailors in high-stress missions. This taught me critical lessons in leadership, accomplishing goals, and working with people of different backgrounds.
For the last 20+ years I’ve worked at a private manufacturing company, learning numerous aspects of running a successful business (engineering, IT, supply chain, P&L, transformation and leadership). Along the way I earned my MBA at UD, had the opportunity to live in Hong Kong, travel the world and experience many cultures. I was cofounder of a Delaware-based startup that worked to commercialize novel chemical technology. Throughout my career, I put people first, always working to learn what’s important, how to solve problems and make lives better now and in the future.
I have a diverse set of experiences, working across cultures, leading teams and solving problems. I look forward to working with you and others across Middletown and the state to solve our most pressing issues!
